To roll out their first edition of Google Cloud Days, Devoteam G Cloud collaborated with OFCORES to realise their immersive event visions entirely virtually. The event explored exciting ways to holistically innovate customer experience, operations, production, sustainability and more through digitalisation, design and unique partnerships.
Bringing the keynotes and expert sessions to life online over 2 days for more than 1200 platform users, OFCORES deployed a full range of expert event management services, including the creation of a custom event platform to host the livestream, inspirational workshops, interactive panels, networking features, bespoke 3D VR event experience (built by our sister company, DiscoVR) and more!
Solutions
We took to the sky for an aptly designed 3D VR G Cloud Days Experience. Here, attendees could explore a colourful, completely tailor-made event environment offering the following:
- Two stages directly linking to the live event keynotes, showcasing the different sessions in real time and allowing viewers to preview what was coming next;
- A central “about us” booth displaying the client’s core values, key videos, contact links and even a life-sized VR goggles element;
- A dedicated networking booth including the 3 thematic virtual networking rooms (with instructions for joining);
- A “content store” booth to browse and access valuable downloads by topic, including whitepapers, previous keynotes and more;
- A games booth where attendees could relax, shoot some hoops, play a round of golf and have a good time.
Our additional key virtual event solutions included a customised online event platform and app, as well as high quality event studio production incorporating a dynamic mix of live and pre-recorded video broadcasts. Further, we provided live session captioning via Google Meet, live and seamless in-house technical direction according to meticulous scripting, and same-day uploading of live sessions for on-demand availability.

Results
The first edition of G Cloud Days was a hit! Over 2 days, 1200 users could enjoy interactive and engaging virtual access to 40 exclusive innovation sessions from 60 expert speakers. Thanks to our collaboration, the event delivered a pioneering 3D VR experience that translated numerous key virtual event aspects in an original way, including thematic networking opportunities, content downloads, games and more. The unique cross-over concept between the 3D experience and online event platform also allowed the client to extend its event lifecycle through continued on-demand event access, as well as to strengthen its future marketing strategy.
